10 Years of beer

We are absolutely thrilled to share some exciting news with all of you. Dead Armadillo Craft Brewery is celebrating its 10th milestone anniversary! It's hard to believe that our humble hobby, born in Tony's garage, has evolved into a thriving and passionate brewing venture. We owe our success to the incredible support of the Tulsa community, and we would be honored to have you join us in celebrating this momentous occasion.

Raise the Dead

March 2011
  • Began work on Business Plan
April 2013
  • Kickstarter campaign to “Raise The Dead Armadillo” is launched raising over $11,000 to help fund our startup
  • Reach an agreement with Roughtail Brewing Co in Midwest City, OK to contact brew our beers out of their facility while we search for our home in Tulsa.
May 2013
  • First Batch of Dead Armadillo Str Amber is brewed and kegged at Roughtail
June 2013
  • First Kegs of Amber hit the market and DA Brewery is officially launched!
October 2013
  • Our first seasonal, Blackhop Black IPA, is released in 22oz bomber bottles
January 2014
  • Dead Armadillo Amber is released in cans! 6-packs of 12oz cans hit the markets statewide.
October 2014
  • Signed the Lease agreement on the property at 1004 E. 4th near downtown Tulsa and begin renovations and building of the brewery.
April 2015
  • Renovations continue as brewing equipment begins to arrive and be installed including our 10bbl Brewhouse and two 20bbl fermenters.
August 2015
  • The first batches of beer are brewed in Tulsa! Amber and IPA batches are fermenting and preparing for packaging
September 2015
  • First batches of kegged beer brewed in Tulsa are packaged and hit the market
  • Added three 10bbl fermenters and one 10bbl brite tank to our brewery
October 2015
  • Added two – 30bbl Fermenters, and one – 30bbl Brite tank
June 2016
  • DA Taproom Opened to the Public
  • Added our first canning line
  • Added 20 bbl Brite tank to the brewery
March 2018
  • Boneyard opens to the Public
May 2018
  • Replaced the three 10bbl Fermenters and Brite tank with three 30bbl Fermenters and one
30bbl Brite
  • Upgraded our to our new Canning Line for added features and speed
May 2019
  • Upgraded to 30bbl Brewhouse
  • Added two more 30bbl Fermenters & one 30bbl brite tank
  • Upgraded our Glycol chilling System
  • Upgraded to a bigger steam Boiler
  • Upgraded to a better and faster Grain Mill
  • Upgraded to a new, Larger Air Compressor
April 2020
  • Begin renovations on DA’s Taproom space
December 2020
  • New Larger Taproom is open to the Public
March 2023
  • Patio space is opened to the public
June 2023
  • 10 years of raising the dead!
