About us

Dead Armadillo Craft Brewing began in a garage with a simple dream and a big vision. In March 2011, we started working on a business plan, and by April 2013, that vision took a major step forward with a successful Kickstarter campaign—raising over $11,000 to launch our project and secure a contract brewing agreement with Roughtail Brewing Co. in Midwest City, OK.

In May 2013, we brewed and kegged our first batch of Dead Armadillo Amber at Roughtail. Just a month later, our first kegs hit the market, officially launching the Dead Armadillo brand. We quickly expanded our lineup, releasing our first seasonal, Blackhop Black IPA, in October 2013 and debuting Amber in 12oz cans by January 2014.

With demand growing, we signed a lease in October 2014 on a property near downtown Tulsa and began renovations. Brewing equipment arrived in April 2015, and by August, we brewed our first Tulsa-made batches—kegged and released the following month.

As our capacity increased, we added fermenters and brite tanks, and in June 2016, we proudly opened our Taproom. Continued growth brought upgrades to our brewing and packaging lines, the launch of our outdoor space, the Boneyard, in March 2018, and the unveiling of a new, larger Taproom in December 2020.

In March 2023, we opened a brand-new patio space, creating an even more inviting atmosphere for our fans to enjoy our beers. Then in June 2023, we celebrated a milestone—10 years of raising the dead and sharing great beer with our community.

Cheers to our fans, and cheers to many more years of beers!
