About us

Dead Armadillo Craft Brewing has come a long way from its humble beginnings in a garage. Our journey started in March 2011 when we began work on a business plan. The dream became a reality in April 2013 with a successful Kickstarter campaign, raising over $11,000 to begin our project and secure a contract brewing agreement with Roughtail Brewing Co in Midwest City, OK.

In May 2013, the first batch of Dead Armadillo Amber was brewed and kegged at Roughtail, and by June 2013, our first kegs hit the market, officially launching Dead Armadillo. We continued to innovate and expand, releasing our first seasonal, Blackhop Black IPA, in October 2013, and introducing Amber in 12oz cans in January 2014.

With growing demand, we signed a lease in October 2014 for a property near downtown Tulsa and began renovations. By April 2015, brewing equipment began arriving, and in August 2015, we brewed the first batches of beer in Tulsa. The following month, these batches were kegged and hit the market.

As we expanded our capacity, we added new fermenters and brite tanks, culminating in the opening of our Taproom in June 2016. Over the years, we continued to upgrade our brewing and packaging equipment, opening our outdoor space, the Boneyard to the public in March 2018, and unveiling a new larger taproom in December 2020.

By March 2023, we opened our new patio space to the public, providing a welcoming environment to enjoy our craft beers. And in June 2023, we celebrated 10 years of raising the dead, marking a decade of quality brewing and community connections.
